How To Conceive a Boy
Here are a few tips the 'experts' recommend to increase your chances of conceiving a boy.
Have intercourse on the day of ovulation.
This is because the male sperm are faster swimmers than the female sperm, but they also die sooner. This means they will get to their destination faster than the females would, so by having sex on the day of ovulation it is more likely for a male sperm to reach the ovum and fertilise it before any female sperm can.
Deep sexual penetration.
This is also to help ensure the male sperm get to the egg a little quicker, because the male sperm die sooner , it is important for them to get to the fallopian tubes while they are still strong and healthy, deep penetration means that semen is ejaculated closer to the cervix, giving them less distance to travel.
A diet high in sodium and pottasium is also helpful in the conception of a male.
By increasing your sodium and pottasium levels, your vaginal secretions become more suitable for male sperm, and less favourable for female.
This intake should be maintained for about 2-3 months before planned conception.
Here is an example of the "Boy Diet".
High Sodium and Pottasium intake..eg:salty foods, tea, coffee, wine, fish fingers, cheese, bananas, oranges, and peaches.
Minimise intake of calcium and magnesium.. eg:dairy foods and vegetables. Some foods to avoid are yoghurt, milk, eggs, nuts, brown rice, wholemeal bread, spinach, fish and tofu.

~ Liver and kidneys are particularly high in sodium and potassium.
How To Conceive a Girl
Ways to conceive a Girl.
Here are a few tips the 'experts' recommend to increase your chances of conceiving a Girl.
Have intercourse 3 days before ovulation.
This is due to the fact the female sperm survive a lot longer than the male so by having sex 3 days prior ovulation, the male sperm should have all died, leaving only female sperm to fertilise the egg during ovulation.
Shallow sexual penetration.
By having shallow penetration, this means the sperm have further to travel once ejaculated. This also means the sperm have to spend longer in the vaginal secretions, and since the male sperm are the weaker of the two, most of them should die off giving the female sperm a better chance to reach the ovum.
A Diet high magnesium and calcium is said to help with the conception of a girl.
By increasing your Calcium and Magnesium intake, your Vaginal secretions become more hostile to male sperm, while the females thrive in it, making it highly likely for the conception of a Girl. This intake should be maintained for about 2-3 months before planned conception.
